December 1– Light Up Estero at Ester Community Park

The 5th annual “Light up Estero” Christmas program will be held at the Estero Community Park from 4 – 7 p.m. This special event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Estero and will feature music, a food truck, and family activities. Music will be provided by high school bands and the New Horizons of Southwest Florida Children’s Choir shown here.  Lighting of the tree will happen around 6:30 p.m. followed by the arrival of Santa sitting atop an Estero fire truck.  Santa will sit on the stage and invite children to join him for a photo. The event is free!


December 1– Annual Fort Myers Beach Christmas Boat Parade

At 6 pm Last year, there were nearly 30 boats participating and this year promises to be even more exciting. The parade travels through the back bay and will pass by establishments such as Shrimp Dock, Parrot Key, Matanzas on the Bay, Doc Ford’s and Nervous Nellies where you can kick back and enjoy the fun. You will also be able to vote online for Best Decorated Boat! The parade will pass through Matanzas Harbor and the first two canals of Siesta Isles. The hammerheads at the end of those canals are a great spot to set up a lawn chair to watch the event. Another good viewing location is the fountain next to Nervous Nellies.

December 2– Old Fashioned Holiday Bazaar at Koreshan State Park

The Park will hold its 2nd annual Old-Fashioned Holiday Bazaar from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. You’ll be able to shop over 100 booths of creative crafts, beautiful art and more.  Children can enjoy exploring Santa’s workshop, photos with Santa, storytime with a Lee County Librarian and winter carriage ride. All may enjoy the music and food in the Settlement Area.

December 7– FGCU’s TheatreLab – Junie B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells

at 6:30 p.m. at the Market Plaza Stage at Gulf Coast Town Center; these performances will be free and open to the public.

December 7– FASBID – 45th Annual Christmas Walk and Tree Lighting Ceremony

This event is from 5-8pm. Local dance troupes and choral groups take over the avenue to usher in the holiday and light up the city’s beautiful tree. 5 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., 239.692.8436, fifthavenuesouth.com

December 7– Naples Annual Christmas Parade

This event is from 6-8pm The spectacular march begins on Broad Street South and finishes on 8th Street South., 239.213.7120, 6-8p, naplesgov.com

December 14– 16 Photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus at Miromar Outlets Mall

Bring the kids and make an everlasting memory and receive a free photo with Santa and special guest Mrs. Claus! https://www.miromaroutlets.com/events/.

December 17-“An Evening under the Shadow Wood” – help support Estero culinary students

The third annual fundraiser for the Estero High School Culinary Program will be held at 6 p.m. at the Shadow Wood Golf & Country Club. Tickets are $75 per person and are available here or go to Squareup.com/store/estero-high-culinary.

December 19– South County Regional Library – Rocking & Rolling!

2 p.m. – 3 p.m., you’re invited to go to the Library Garden to listen to David Hunter, performing popular hits like Paul Simon, Tom Petty, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and get ready for some great music.  This event is sponsored by The Friends Group of South County Regional Library, Inc.

December 22– Breakfast with Santa

Edison Ford Winter Estates Holiday Nights

December 1st through December 23, and December 26 through December 30, 2018, | 5:30 PM – 9 PM. Thousands of lights, hundreds of historic decorations, and one unique holiday experience await you nightly! This year’s event features live music, food and beverages, Santa visits, crafts, Inside the Homes tours, and much more on select nights! Don’t miss an all NEW nightly show from Liquid Fireworks by Waltzing Waters. 

HOLIDAY NIGHTS ADMISSION:

  • Guided tours (offered at 6 pm and 7 pm nightly, first-come, first served): Adults $30, Teens $25, Children age 6-12 $18
  • General admission: Adults $20, Teens $10, Children age 6-12 $2
  • Combo: Purchase any daytime admission and combine Holiday Nights (valid only on the same evening as daytime admission/tour):
    • Guided tour combo: Adults $20, Teen $15, Child $10
    • General admission combo: Adults $10, Teen $5, Child $1

Children age five and under always admitted free of charge.
